After The Sewol

When the Sewol Ferry collapsed the government issued a response nationally, but never showed up - allowing hundreds of people to die. In this exposé, we discuss the political landscape of South Korea, the pain and anguish the families continue to endure and why the Sewol Ferry disaster was ultimately allowed to occur. As part of this filmmaking process, we also co-organized a protest rally in Seoul that saw over 1 million people attend. Winner of Best Documentary at the World Documentary Awards 2018 and Independent Film Awards 2017, this film was also shortlisted for an OSCAR in 2017. Now available on various VOD platforms around the world. There’s also a sequel titled “Crossroads”.
